Draught @ ’t Paultje. Lightly unclear yellow golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma is malts, lightly hops, lightly herbal. Tastes about the same: malts, lightly hops, a bit herbal, good bitterness. Lingering bitterness, medium body and soft carbonation. Pretty good.

On tap at Bierfestival Groningen 2015. Dark amber in the glass, big white head. Taste is malty, low bitterness, little bit thin. Expected more.

Aroma: Caramel malty, citric, some yeast and mild herbal.
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Caramel malty, some yeast, mild spices and a bit citric hoppy.

The beer starts floral, sweetish-smooth. Slightly bitter in the aftertaste, fresh, easy to drink. Not much dark- or roast malt. As it wants to be an "Amber Weizen", it is nice, smooth malty, fresh. Hints of bitterness in the aftertaste, nice round and sweetish malt, fresh, smooth. Nice.

Flasche (33 cl) von Bierlieb, Berlin. - Orangegelb, schön trüb mit reichlich Schaum, der sich lange hält und schöne Ringe im Glas hinterläßt. - In der Nase reiche Hopfennoten, die an tropische Frucht erinnern. - Im Antrunk scharf grasiger und kräftig herb-zitrusfruchtiger Hopfen: Zitronenschale, Harz, Basilikum. Trotz der heftigen Hopfenattacke ist noch Platz für eine weiche Malzsüße. Durchschnittlich rezent, vollmundig, weich im Mund. Der etwas höhere Alkoholgehalts verleiht diesem Bier eine spürbare Schwere, die die Aromenfülle unterstreicht. Im Abgang kräftige Bittere mit Zitronenschale, Nadelwald und Harz. Sehr langer, bitterer Nachtrunk. - Wuchtig und sehr aromatisch gehopftes Bier. Kein typisches Pilsener, aber ein Hochgenuß.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Hazy deep amber-brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some roast, some dark fruits and a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, some decent roast, nuts, a fruity touch, a bit of alcohol and a drier finish. Medium-bodied. A bit too boozy, but alright.

Murky ruby brown colour, small frothy tan head, recedes quite quick but with heavy lacing. Roasted malts aroma, caramel, brown sugar, dark chocolate, liquorice, spicy notes. Taste medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter, roasty and earthy notes, full body, sticky texture, average carbonation, aftertaste bittersweet, overall ok doppelbock.

Bottle from Mitra, where they are still sold, #1702, large sample. Slight hazy brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of caramel, raisin, chocolate, slight earthy hop, cookie, biscuit, slight hint of coffee even. Medium sweet in taste, slight bitter. Already a couple years old now, but it has matured wonderfully. Great big sipper.

Look: almost clear golden, very creamy white head.
Aroma: beautiful German hops, flowery and lemony, a bit of sweetness and some glue.
Taste: a nice strong body, some sweetness and quite hoppy.
