Description

(Draught at Kafé Belgie, Utrecht, 25 July 2013) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dark bread and brown sugar. Malty, vinous taste with caramel, chocolate, dried fruit and a certain spicy bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Found it a bit hard to define style-wise, but tasty and well made. Nice one. Apparently this was the last batch from the brewery before closing it down, which really is sad. We salute you for what you have done. Cheers.

Tap at the Haarlem Beer Festival 2013. Poured a hazy chesnut brown with a broken off-white head. The flavour is medium bitter, with a little resin and caramel on the smooth refreshing palate. So sad there will be no more.

Not that special, but considering it’s a pilsner yet impressive. Shame that the bewery went bankrupt.
