Draft @ Ledig Erf, Utrecht as beer of the month. Dorée, col épais blanc/beige. Arôme fruité, aspect raisin blanc et mixe entre houblons américains et nobles européens. Palais profile me rappelle un côté champenois voire de raisin blanc, le tout est agréablement citronné/agrumes. Palais est agréable avec une fin de bouche portant sur des aromates et une amertume houblonné sèche qui persiste. Ajout de houblons subtiles et en harmonie pour le style; Perle, Saaz, Hallertau. Facile à boire, le genre de bière blonde bien houblonné qui est facile et complexe à déguster.

On tap @ In De Wildeman. Color is between blond & amber, hazy. White, rocky head. Aroma’s: Grassy hops, grainy, citrus, hopbitter, hint of maltiness. Flavor is rather bitter with some acidity and a hint of malty sweetness. Medium bodied. Finishes with a firm and long lasting bitterness. Typical Christoffel, somewhere between the regular & Nobel.

Draft at De Paas. Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, grass and a little caramel sweetness. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Almost opaque golden yellow colour, dense white head. Aroma is light sweet, typical Christoffel smell, malty, grassy, light candy. Flavour is malty, dry, some nice sweetness, light wheat, firm bitter grassy hop finish. Medium-bodied. It’s like a blend between the Blond and Nobel. And those are both really good.

Poured from a bottle (at home Feb ’12) into a tulip glass to a murky dark yellow/amber colour with a good finger of frothy white head. All round dryed hop aroma, very fresh with a little mint in the nose and grass/straw lurking in the background. If you sniff hard with your nose to the beer you really get an alcohol whiff! Taste wise - zesty citrus hoppy taste with relatively strong alcohol flavour in the aftertaste also slightly peppery in the aftertaste! Quite a lot of carbonation going on with a medium body to this beer in terms of mouthfeel. Head subsided to a small ocean of a covering whilst drinking and a little lacing around the edge of the glass. Overall an OK beer, but not one I’d revisit given the choice over others. The alcohol flavour is too pronounced for me and not balanced enough.

330ml Bottle - Hazy golden in colour. Lemon, tea and grapefruit in the aroma. Hoppy and slightly sweet taste with notes of malt, berries and grain.

0.33l bottle. Hazy orange body, white head. Flowery, smoky, honeyish, bready aroma. Grassy hoppy taste with some honey. A nice one.
