Description

Bottle, 12C. Very dark brown with a light tan head that fades to a coat. Lovely aroma of prunes, raisins, singed dark sugars, vanilla. Lighter bodied than suggested by the aroma. Sweet and fruity with some roasted flavours and chocolate. Unfortunate astringent coffee and metallic notes at the end along with nice balancing bitterness. Even without that at the end it would have been a bit of a let down after the aroma. Even with it it’s pretty good.

33 cl. bottle @ homa, bought @ Mitra. Hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma of malts, yeast and a hint of citrus. Taste is likewise but with some tobacco added. Bitter hop aftertaste. One of the best pilseners there is.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra. Hazy old yellow with a white head. Aroma of yeast, floral hops and ripe fruits. Medium bitter with a long fullfilling aftertaste. ’Strong Pale Lager’ doesn’t do enough justice to Christoffel Nobel to describe this excellent underfermented beer.

After the bitter, this one tasted better. more balanced. Quite good but their beers need some more kick. Strong malts though.

Deep chocolate malty aroma. Pours a deep clear brown with a tan head that fades quick. The roasted malts are on the strong side.
