Sample at the brewpub. This hybrid brew pours dark brown with a medium khaki head that recedes to an outer ring relatively quickly. Rings of lacing. Rich bourbony notes in the nose along with dark fruit. Full body with an oaky bourbon flavor along with notes of prune, caramel and molasses. The finish is malty with a ripe fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

Nitro sample at the brewpub. The beer is a slightly hazy amber color with a thin and creamy off-white head that burns away slowly. Thick sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and oak. Medium, smooth body with flavors of dark roasted malt, bourbon, burnt wood and mild hops. The finish is smoky and malty. Above average overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange-amber color with a thin off-white head that evaporates steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma that has citrus notes, plus a bit of malt. Medium body and moderately bitter with a citrusy hops flavor backed up by bready malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness. Decent brew overall.

Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt and hops. The finish is malty with a short sweet aftertaste. Average overall.

Medium body with a moderately hoppy character that has pine and citrus notes. Sweet grainy malt in the background as well. The finish is hoppy with a short somewhat bitter aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at the Pizza Port Session Ale Fest. Pours with an amber body and a tan head. Aroma is grainy, with honey, bread, flower, cereal, brown sugar and ever so slightly smokey. Taste is straw, dry, grassy and bitter. Fizzy and dry.

Draft. Blackish beer with a cream colored head. Big bourbon and light smoke aroma. Bourbon and oak flavor with rich malt. Medium-plus bodied. Bourbon and rich malt lingers. Strong bourbon flavor with compliments very well.
