Draft at Ashland Ale house. Feel like been neglecting cider lately and this was one of only ticks available. Cinnamon and nutmeg and sweet flesh apple, touch of vanilla. Decent enough little messy

Canned 3/12/24, drunk 9/27/25.
Found this can in my girlfriend's basement. Pours clear, maple-golden. Fizzy.
Smells like one of those french toast sticks i ate for lunch in elementary school.
Tastes like that, with some cider notes that certainly do not go well with pastry/flour/waffle. Like soaking waffles in apple cider and adding maple. Pretty downright disgusting. Imagine giving this a 7.6!

$2.50 can at giant eagle, the large bird of prey. Yes, the aroma of canned fruit cocktail. Eye is hazy light pale. First taste is a little unsettling; some rubber, boozy and warming. Yes, you ain't hiding the alky here, it seems more like its fortified with alky instead of straight up fermented from sugar. But hey, what do I know. Not sure about the tropical thing either, not really getting any tropical fruit in this alky bomb. Some co2 but could use more. In the middle I think I'm getting some plastic flavors. Too sweet, lots of unfermented sugar in this as well. More alky warming sensations on the finish. Overall, this is a little unpleasant and probably there should have been brewer tasting before they released it. It almost feels like one of those fortified sugary soda pop malt beverage brews. Whew.

Draught at Hopothecary Ales, 7/4/25.
My girlfriend ordered this. Clear pale golden-white peach. Hazy.
Nose is peachy as all hell (semi-authentic, but a bit cheap) with not too much mango. Some sugar, not a ton of apple. Nothing remarkable.
Starts out fruity and the sugars build until there's a big sugary finish full of not very authentic fruit flavors.

Really can't say enough bad things about Downeast these days. Just mass market garbage that is always too sweet, sometimes obnoxiously so. Never very authentic adjunct flavors and quite fizzy and with very little of interest in the actual cider characteristics.

Nice blend of pineapple with apple cider. Aromas have pineapple dominating apple cider and the reverse for flavors. Decent body and carbonation. I could see having another of these no problem.

$2.5 can at giant eagle, the large bird of prey. Pour looks like fruit punch, no head. Smell is a bit sweet, fruity perfume. First taste is a little boozy with a slight warming sensation down the throat and int the gullet. Lots of unfermentd sugar in this, its certainly not dry. I wish these domestic cider companies would quit trying to mimic groundchuck, oops I mean woodchuck, hehehh. They should find out what real cider is like from the old country. Decent level of carbonation, but its alarming on the sweet end. Reminds me lots of those soda pop alky malt beverage bombs that masquerade as a beer. If you look for it, you may find some flavor of apple cider in here. Oh well. Seems a little artificial in flavor overall. However, it wasn't a terribly bad taste and was somewhat refreshing, like soda pop.

Aromas are apple cider, tree bark and herbal. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, loses most of the bark and herbs. Slightly more tart than sweet. Drinkable but nothing special at all.
