Draught Good white head over hazy yellow beer with a mossy sheen. Clean nose if some asafoetida; dry leaves, dried hops, citrus. Dry straw-like flavour with both dry and sweet citrus, exotic fruit. Creamy MF, good carbonation, feels denser than 6.2%. Quite good one, the more as I'm usually not enthusiastic about 't Ij try-outs, but this one ticks all the boxes.

Bottle on 14th February 2026 from Brouwerij’t IJ, Amsterdam. Pours a clear scarlet brown with almost no foam or lace. Earthy and mildly sour cherry aroma. Tart cherries, lactic notes and pungencies in-mouth, and a vinous cherry fruit finish.light body and a smooth mouthfeel.

330ml can from the Albert Heijn supermarket in Valkenburg. Been saving this since mid November last year, not sure why? Poured into a Corsendonk Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass at home on 30th January 2026. Posh tramp juice. Pours a bright golden colour, short lived white crust on top. Mild citrus nose and initial taste, some herbal and floral twists give some interest, but it wasn't what I was expecting at all.

Licht troebel goudgeel bier met schuim. Smaak is vrij zoet en licht kruidig met iets van honing, wat citrus en wat hars. Ok, maar niet echt bijzonder.

Can picked up from an Albert Heijn supermarket in Utrecht and consumed at home Wednesday 14th January 2026 after homemade Prawn Toast Burgers from the Jan' 2026 GoodFood mag and listening to New Music Fix with Nathan Shepherd and Deb Grant on 6Music. Pours hazy light/mid gold with a white head. Aroma is a bit of citrus, spice, peppery, similar in the taste department, with a light bitterness. Initial sweetness leads to a dry finish. Decent stuff.
