Clear, filtered, thin red wine, somewhat still pour at a local fancy pants restaurant for my birthday.
Strong dark berry & stone fruit nose with a big grassy note.
Herbal & very veggy. Bittersweet leaning bitter, aromatic raspberry, very strong citrus or similar hop oils. Lingering stemmy veg. Dry but not quite brut. Slightly boozy despite being only 6%.
Average cider made better with a little herbage.

On tap at Highland's downtown. Pale gold, slightly hazy, sort of still. Macerated, sweaty, earthy, bittersharp & dessert nose blend. Low tart, high acid, lime, creamy, dried pineapple, yeasty endtrails, calcium, stiff preservatives. Kinda impressed.

On tap Dec '17 at the WAVL OG location. Cloudy, pale gold body. Orange, mushy apples, fragrant (wild?) yeast. Taste is yeasty, wet texture, with a grocery apple/pear sweetness. Faintly tart, low acid, low bitterness, low floral hoppiness. Juicy is the obvious aim(& it is). Decent.

On tap at the South side fallout shelter. Baby goblet. Clear, glowy gold, active, inviting over-pour. Sweet, macerated apple. Unidentifiable added fruit on the nose, it's just a pear/peach blob. Sweet, earthy, peach, bitter apple, mango puree. Tart candy. Cheap champagne. Can't find any kiwi. Bubbly, slick, strong for the abv like a mimosa. Not a fan.

Baby goblet at the South bunker location. Purple red, not quite grape drank color; still-ish. Smell is this odd greasy peppers, like cooked in a pan with onions greasy. The apple- grape juice box nose that is there gets pushed aside. Taste is sweet grape juice, odd cut by green chilies. This doesn't taste like fruity habaneros. There is a freezer burn fruit flavor further down the line. Chilies do stick a little, but don't meld with the unusually sweet adds. Tiny bit of apple skin bitterness saves the day at the end. They already make like half a dozen chili ciders. Meh.

Strange that I rated the alt version of this year's before the OG. Baby goblet at the South Slope bomb shelter. Clear, pale, gray gold, active. Smells a whole it like super green citra hops plus something potpourri-like floral. It's strong enough to get in the way. Tastes a lot like citra, cigarettes & pear. Haven't had Phoenix hops in a beer. Tart apple, bitter skin, solid acidity, lemon, soap, seltzer burn. Quafffable.

6oz pour from the cidery, June '17. Pale straw gold body; bubbling. Smell is slightly sticky & licorice-like, with a backdrop of apples. Taste is a mix of watermelon rind & bitter rooty veggies. A little flat, more wine yeasties, tacky dry. Cascade hops used aren't very bold. Meh.

6oz pour from the cidery, June '17. A pale pink shade. Smell is a sticky raspberry & apple essence blend. Natural, but sweet. Taste is middle of the road sweet, raspberry juice & mild apple essence push out any bitter or tart angles. Fun, easy, a bit too sweet, but cold, it is great & refreshing.

On tap @UO downtown. Short glass. Pale gold, clear. Faint lavender & dry apple nose. Bitter, floral apple, dry mouth, lingering acid. Needs bolder apples. Meh to okay.

Can from 604. Stemless wine glass @home. Pale white wine with a good spritz. Bit of a stink out the can. After it settles, strong herbs, skunky weed & fermenting onions persist. Easy consistency makes it easy to take a large gulp despite the smell. Taste is of bitter leafy hops, onion soup, cheap flowers garnishing my salad, tannic acidic apples, pineapple juice. Lingering bitter cig, white wine & a grapefruit pith numb feeling that might be the lime rind. Texture is surprisingly excellent & I drink it fast despite the bong water description. A six for mouthfeel if I could. Thin, moderately carbed, slightly slick but not greasy, fresh acid to clean it up. Drinks like a skunked snakebite. I didn't hate it.
