Description
Oktober 2013 werd Stichting Haagsche Broeder ingeschreven in het handelsregister en begin 2014 werd er gestart met brouwen. 28 juni 2014 werd de eerste Haagsche Broeder Prior aangeboden aan Burgemeester Jozias van Aartsen en is de verkoop van start gegaan.

One off bottle since the growlers were sold out at THT. Dark brown with beige head. Dry roasted malts, bitter herbs, grass, soft lime and a bit of orange, chalk, ashy. Almost no sweetness, medium bitter. Over light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Don’t get too much orange.

Bottle shared at THT March The Elephant Seal edition. Massive thanks to Japie. Dark brown with creamy head. Sweet roasted malts, charcoal deep roast, orange peels. Moderate sweet and bitter. 4 2 4 2 7 Bottle shared at The Hague Bottle Share, Gekke Geit. Cloudy brown with a tan head. Aroma of strawberry vomit, caramel, toffee and tart fruits. Flavour is heavy sweet and light sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled from bottle at Gekke Geit bottleshare. Murky brown with tan head. Sweet chocolate and rye. Honey sweet and dense rye notes. Nutella fake chocolate / fake hazelnut paste. Sampled from bottle at Gekke Geit bottleshare. Dark brown with tan head. Sweet roasted malts, caramel, white wine, champaign, juicy fruity notes and lots of oak. Big sweet and over medium bitter. Bottle at The Hague Bottleshare. Clear dark brown with small beige head. Caramel, sour white grapes, herbal, grass, light sugar, tannins, red wine. Medium sweet, bitter and sour. Just medium bodied. A bit weird and not great.
