Yellowhammer Brewing was started in 2010 by four guys who love good beer and were excited to see Alabama finally warm up to craft brewing. We seek to build on Belgian and German tradition. That means handcrafted European styles, but with a Southern interpretation.

Taster at Liquor Express. Pours a clear, yellow color, with a small, foamy, white head. The nose is bright lemon juice, cloves, and some pine. Sweet and sugary, and a bit tart. Some pithy bitterness. Light to medium body, crisp, and very acidic. Fun.

Can: Poured a cloudy pink with a bubble head. Aroma is fruity, cherry and blackberry. Taste is tart cherry and blackberry, mellows a bit with grain.

Tap. Pours clear golden orange, large off white head, good lacing. Aroma is floral, grassy, honey, dust. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter. Medium body.

On draft at Beer Hog in Peliham, AL. Pours a Clear pale gold with a white head. Grassy aroma with some interesting spicy notes. Flavors are mostly sweet malts with some complementing hop bitterness.

Pint at Commerce Kitchen in Huntsville. Pours a clearish, amber color, with a medium, foamy, off-white head. The aroma is rye toast, cardamom, maple, apple, and pumpernickel. Sweet and malty, with a dusty, easy bitterness. Light to medium body, crisp, and grainy. Simple and solid.
