30/IV/14 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: VII/2014 (2014-439) Thanks to the Gooische Brouwers for the bottles!

Clear pale orange beer, huge white aery head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, candi sugar, some citrus, grains. MF: lots of carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots of citrus, bit sweet, nice bitterness, hoppy, bit grassy, somewhat fruity. Aftertaste: bitter, dry, bit grassy, grapefruit, citrus, little spicy. Not exciting, but not bad either. Surprised about the low ratings, maybe inconsistency in brewing, and lucky to have had a good batch?

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark reddish brown this a thin off white head. The aroma is caramel malt, yeast. The flavour is medium bitter light sweet with a big malt light hop resin woody palate and long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lots of flavour and rather smooth. I enjoyed drinking this.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear straw colour with a long-lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is strong yeast, malt and a little toffee. The flavour is medium bitter with a hop bitter palate and a short bitter finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. The flavour in the palate was all up front and disappeared very quickly. I can’t say I liked that, but at least it’s kinda unique!

The story on the bottle is nice, but the beer itself tasted like weird soapy herbs. I even had trouble finishing it, something I rarely experience.
