Description
Wachusett Brewing Company was founded by three Massachusetts college students obsessed with the brewing culture and an appreciation for craft beer during their adventures of biking, canoeing, and hiking around New England. Armed with a “we can do this” attitude, the three cast off from their careers in engineering and biology to pursue their passion to make great beer.

12 oz bottle from alldaydrinker; Nose of chocolate, roasted nuts, with a lightly hoppy accent; Dark transparent brown with a medium cinnamon, lightly lacing head; flavor is light hop bitterness, chocolate, and a little pepperiness; finish is lightly bitter. Pretty good little porter!

Super clear coloured amber/orange coloured body with a very thin tan head. VERY funky aroma of nuts, eggs and more nuts...maybe some malt in there as well. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavours up front with nuts and a tiny bit of sugars near the end. Aftertaste shows more of the malt and nuts - nothing else really. Overall, a decent beer, a bit too nutty for me for the season, but not bad at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 25-November-2007.

A deep brown ale with a thick off white head. A light chocolate and caramel aroma. In mouth, a musty sweet caramel malt, with notes of bitter chocolate, light spiced notes. Medium bodied. Nice. 1.59$ at CJs Potsdam, 2007.

A lightly hazed golden amber ale with a thick creamy off white head. A rather doughy malt aroma with floral hops, a bit of honey and madeira, oxidation. In mouth, a rather sweetish light ale with faint hopping, buttery notes, cloying honey sweetness in finale. Undefermented? 1.59$ at CJs in Potsdam.

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thick white head. A pleasant blueberry pulp in aroma, with light lactic points. In mouth, a rather short beer, with blueberry remaining, but rather chemical. A bit cloying, but refreshing.

A hazed amber ale with a thick creamy dark off white head. Light hops and caramel aroma, light orange marmelade. In mouth, a decent grapefruit hop attack followed by biscuitty malt, a bit thin, but honest IPA. Bought this at CJs, Potsdam, 1.59$.

Kind of pale for an IPA, but I poured it in a really thin glass, so that just might be my perception. Nice head. Standard IPA fruity smell. A nice balanced amount of hops. Falls right in the range of hops that I like to see in a beer. Definately not a sweet IPA like some others, which have both hops a a syrupy sweetness. Nice medium body.

12 oz bottle. Pours with a small head. Aroma is mainly made up of beavy british biscuit with a slight background of spices (cinamon and nutmeg). Taste has some malt sweetess with slight spices, very low hopped, low bitterness. Average mouthfeel and a sold medium body. A very nice beer from these brewers.
