Nestled inside a courtyard that is a popular place to dine in the warmer months, you will feel the pulse of Providence but experience the warmth and charm of a neighborhood establishment. Our high ceilings, exposed brick and dark wood throughout provide unique character and ambiance.
Whether you are a local Rhode Islander or visiting Providence, we welcome you to USB!
Since 1993, Union Station Brewery has brewed and served its own handcrafted beer alongside classic American tavern fare in the former Union Station train depot.
Our brewers keep a small, rotating selection of seasonal and specialty brews on tap, as well as a wide assortment of popular craft beers.
In 2019, a few local restauranteurs and bar proprietors purchased USB, transitioning it from a corporate entity to a true Rhode Island brew pub with a neighborhood feel in the heart of Providence.
Welcome and enjoy!

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a drafty brown color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head. No lace.
The aroma had some cocoa powder playing with citrusy and grassy hops. Sly earthiness and some bread.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a grasping bitterness punching the aftertaste in the same manner. Finish was dry and bitter.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, definitely a brown IPA as it had a good hoppy content playing with brown ale like qualities.

Ugly dirty Amber pour one finger head. Nose is very earthy and some wood. Tastes of pine, light honey, potting soil, some chestnut and cedar. Light bodied and drying finish.

Aroma: Peach and candied stagger aroma.
Appearance: Clear gold color, small white head, spotty lace.
Flavor: Peach candy flavor, quite sweet, bright, no bitterness.
Palate: Light body, not watery, easy drinking, very clean and fresh feeling.
Overall Impression: I actually rather enjoyed this one. It is reminiscent of Son of a Peach for me, which is meant as a compliment. Nice beer.

Location: Cask at the Union Station brewpub (Providence), 3/28/15
Aroma: Strong clove and licorice aroma, Belgian yeast and vanilla are subtle.
Appearance: Dark brown pour, good sized brown head, fairly heavy lace.
Flavor: Clove forward flavor as well, light yeast, spice, sweetness.
Palate: Very short duration, super easy drinking, slightly dry clove/spice finish.
Overall Impression: Definitely the most clove cigarette like beer I can ever remember trying. That sounds like a bad thing, I know, but somehow it works.
