Union Station Brewery
Brewpub
in Providence,
Rhode Island,
United States 🇺🇸
Associated Venue: Union Station Brewery
Established in 1993
Nestled inside a courtyard that is a popular place to dine in the warmer months, you will feel the pulse of Providence but experience the warmth and charm of a neighborhood establishment. Our high ceilings, exposed brick and dark wood throughout provide unique character and ambiance.
Whether you are a local Rhode Islander or visiting Providence, we welcome you to USB!
Since 1993, Union Station Brewery has brewed and served its own handcrafted beer alongside classic American tavern fare in the former Union Station train depot.
Our brewers keep a small, rotating selection of seasonal and specialty brews on tap, as well as a wide assortment of popular craft beers.
In 2019, a few local restauranteurs and bar proprietors purchased USB, transitioning it from a corporate entity to a true Rhode Island brew pub with a neighborhood feel in the heart of Providence.
Welcome and enjoy!

Brewery draught, 3/13/25.
Heavily hazy, bronze-maize-golden. Medium-sized, white head, modest retention.
Heavy citra notes of pineapple-orange-mango. Bit of mineral and peach from the Nectaron. Fairly clean. Biscuity/crackery malt.
Juicy orange, peach, papaya. Biscuit and cracker. Light, mostly clean. Some heavy yeast character on the end.

Brewery draught, 3/13/25.
Heavily hazy bronze-maize-golden. Small, white head.
Buttery again. Weird herbage, butterscotch, but clearing somewhat to show pine and grapefruit.
On the thin side. Pineapple, cherry, mango and overipe papaya. Heavy biscuit and cracker lingering. Very dry. Yeasty.

Brewery draught, 3/13/25.

Butter? Pineapple, pine, cherry and biscuity malts.
Rather thin, a bit watery, with a hint of butter and lots of pineapple that is softened by bland yeast and wateriness.

Brewery draught, 3/13/25.
Difficult-to-distinguish from the NE IPAs in the flight....
Peachy hop with fruitiness and wheat. Apricot. There's a touch of mineral but that's the only identifiable Pils characteristic.
Fruity, chewy, no snappiness, bitterness, lager character. Like a wheat pale ale. It's clean and has flavorful hops but is so far from a Czech Pils as to be laughable.

Brewery draught, 3/13/25.
Clear muted brass. Small, white head.
Grapes are fruity, gently sweet. Not much tannin, touch of lacto, maybe a hint of Brett. But clean enough and well-presented.
Heavy grape, maybe a touch of butter, very round, light body with no sweetness. Oddly pleasant despite its extremely light body.

Tap @ the brewpub. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are little blueberries, fruits, malt and hops. Fruity finish.
