Description
The Moab Brewery was founded in 1996 by John Borkoski (John is also the founder of a brewery in McCall, Idaho) and Dave Sabey (Dave appreciates a good beer anywhere!). Together with their partners, John and Dave have created an oasis in the desert. Moab Brewery is proud to be Moab’s only microbrewery. The beautiful and unique landscape in and around Moab provides inspiration for our fresh, hand-crafted ales.

Can from Brewforia. Pours orange amber with a slight head. Aroma is pretty malty. Sort of towards roasty. Med body or nearly. Flavor is roasty malt with some fruit/floral notes, and something rendering it bitter. It’s not exactly dry, but seems hoppy and bitter in the finish. Decent drink.

Can from Brewforia. Pours dark hazy gold with a slight white head. Aroma is just malty. Med minus body. Flavor is malty with perhaps some citrus. It’s not really very tasty. Yet it does have more flavor than a macro lager! Even gets some bitter in the finish. Not much tho.

16oz pours a slightly hazy orange with some ringing white head. Nose is fairly standard, orange, malt, some pine, some soap, a little candy. Flavor is the same, orange, grapefruit zest, malt, candy sugar, pine. Sticky finish. Drinks heavier than 4%.

Pours reddish/amber with small head. Rye grain adds some nuttiness to the flavor and overall presentation. No grain sourness detected, overall very smooth.

tap at the brewpub - Pours very dark brown with a tan head. It has a nice roasted malt aroma with coffee. The flavor is similar, dark roast malt with some mild coffee notes. It’s medium bodied with a lingering roast finish. Good stout.

tap at the brewpub - Pours reddish-orange with a light tan head. It smells of citrus accented hops and caramel malt. The flavor is similar though with just a bit of caramel. Quite good.

tap at the brewpub - Pours amber with an off-white head. It has a mild, grainy malt aroma. The flavor is sweet with a touch of caramel and fruit. I certainly wouldn’t say, as the brewery description does, that it has "assertive hop bitterness". It’s very mild bitterness. Decent beer, that’s about it.

tap at the brewpub - Pours hazy straw colored with a small, lingering white head. It has a mild wheat aroma. The flavor has some hops bitterness, weak wheat malt, and some yeast. It’s rather bland. This light bodied brew is mediocre.

tap at the brewpub - Pours up a dense, white, one finger long lasting head with ample lacing. It has a citrus hop aroma that comes out more and more as it warms. Moderate to strong hops bitterness with a subdued malt backbone gives this brew a fairly tasty flavor. Carbonation is light. It has the expected long, bitter finish typical of the style. It’s good though nothing super special.
