Notes from 11/16/17 On tap at the brewery. Pint glass pour. Dusty brown, opaque body. Sticky/lacy off white head. Smell is sweet brown malt, faint chocolate, earth, cake. Taste is dry & mildly bitter brown. Flash charred toast, with a hearty texture. More chocolate. Pumpkin spices are faint & just in the background. Minerally, textured finish. Easy abv, but a heavy feel keeps me from drinking several. Very nice.

Tap at brewpub. Clear copper colour, small off-white head. Hay and blackcurrant leaves in the nose. Medium-bodied. Toffee lurking in the backbone, light blackcurrant but much less bitterness than ibu says. Sweet malty meh.

Tap at brewpub. Hazy yellow colour, small steady white head, lace. Grapefruit and blackcurrant in the nose. Light-bodied. Grapefruity bitterness with blackcurrant. Notes of pineapple. Robust for its abv.

Tap at brewpub. Amber colour, small off-white head. Diacetylic, toffee nose with some nuttyness. Medium-bodied. Flavour is also all toffee and fudge with nuttyness. Probably gone a bit wrong.

Tap at brewpub. Clear yellow colour, small white head. Light honeyish fruity nose. Light-bodied. Honey also in the flavour with some dry yeast notes. Cream ales are always boring.

Great red ale malty taste with a spicy taste at the end. Not overly sweet or overly hoppy. Easy drinking for a heavier beer.

Creamy feel from the nitro. Mostly a coffee flavored porter with a little sweetness from cherries.

Keg at the brewpub, Asheville, 17/02/15. Clear chestnut brown with moderately apppointed light beige spotting and edgework. Nose is nutty, caramel, spice, light coconut, woody. Taste comprises green pepper, light cocoa rub, spice, coconut shavings. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff, not a mild but more flavoursome than the trail of generic rew pub ambers, wheats and wits that are normally put to the sword.

Keg at the brewpub, Asheville, 17/02/15. Dark chestnut brown topped with a moderate light beige swirl. Nose is caramel, nutty, light spice, dark fruit peel. Taste comprises bitter dark fruit shreds, yeast esters, toffee, candied fruit. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Mediocre Belgian strong, lacks depth and flavour profile.
