33cl can from a small shop in Sarandë, Albania. Found this beer on our way to the ferry back to Corfu the day we were leaving Sarandë. Drank in at our balcony at the hotel on Corfu. Pretty standard industrial pale lager, but hardly any strange or off aromas. A bit sweet and lightly malty with a balanced bitterness. Better than expected and better than the Greek industrial pale lagers at Corfu. Decent lager and quite refreshing in the heat. (2011-05-25)

33cl bottle from a small shop in Sarandë, Albania. Enjoyed straight from the bottle at our balcony at Kaonia Hotel. Strange beer bottle with an intriguing text on it: Löwenbräu - Premium Läger - Italian design brewed and bottled in Albania by concession of Löwenbräu - Batehman Germany. Strange! Italian design German lager brewed in Albania!? Just had to try it! The text on the back label was only written in Italian. Looked like it was meant for export. I didn’t notice the huge difference from the regular pale lagers of the are. Golden with a white head. Lightly malty and a bit sweet, not much hops. Pretty standard lager without any offensive aromas and fairly well balanced. Quite refreshing in the heat , but slightly on the sweet side. (Sarandë, Albania - 2011-05-23)

bottle, kindly donated by Kölschtrinker - vielen Dank! Inteersting bottle with mouldy labels, the ring-pull-crown cap broke, so it took quite some effort to crack the bottle open. Hazy golden colour, smal white head. Good hop aroma. Medium-bodied with a rather nice malty base and some resiny-grassy hops. Quite nice!

bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Clear red-brown colour, large, creamy beige head. Aroma of caramel and roasted malts. Light-bodied yet with a solid malty base, hints of caramel, roasetd malts and cocoa powder. Shy hoppy houch in the finish. A good one!

Frisch herber Antrunk mit geringem, eher billig wirkendem Hopfen. Die Herbe selber ist angenehm, in Teilen aber recht mild. Frischer Mittelteil ohne spürbare Bitterkeit. Trinkbares erfrischendes Bier. /8/11/7/5/8

Etwas herber und vorsichtig getreidiger Antrunk. Ein pelziges Gefühl ist ab diesem Moment auf der Zunge, das Bier ist nur einen Ticken herber, eine Malznote neben der Getreidigkeit muss man suchen. Auffälliger wird sie zum Ende, das Bier ist hier mäßig intensiv, immerhin aber süßlich würzig. Durchweg gut trinkbar. /8/8/8/11/9

Herber, leicht würziger und frischer Antrunk. Die Herbe ist im Mittelteil intensiver, wenig bitter. Im Verlauf erfrischend, die Herbe ist voll, das Bier nicht besonders aber durchaus gut trinkbar. /10/9/9/8/9

Fuselig herber, billig hopfiger Beginn. Wässrig, billig, halbwegs süffig. Später kaum besser, im Wasser ist eine minimale Herbe vorhanden. Noch trinkbar. /5/6/5/9/5

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is hay, mild honeyish sweetness, some grains as well. Flavour is grains, some mild rubber and hay. Quite think and not all that cool.
