Description
Confused? Overwhelmed? Thirsty?
That is how I felt as I sat at my favorite drinking establishment recently, gazing at over 50 different draft lines simply trying to figure out which beer to order. And I am a 20 year veteran of the craft beer industry!
Since I started in 1993, thousands of craft breweries have sprung up and a war is raging over IBUs and ABV. Now, I like hops, but everything in moderation, please! I don’t need 120 IBUs or 9% ABV on a night out with friends.
Then it hit me…I am in a position to do something about it!
So I present to you THE JUST BEER PROJECT…a craft beer company with a mission to deliver my fellow beer drinkers world class craft beers that are:
Delightful in their simplicity – nothing complicated or exotic, just all natural ingredients from close to home
Sessionable, staying in the 5% ABV range
Focused on a delicious malt/hop balance
The perfect beer for the person who’s looking to spend less time reading about beer, and more time drinking it.
I hope you enjoy our first PROJECT – Un-complicating beer. You just drink it. It tastes great. JUST IPA.
Cheers!

Bottle. Well it’s just an average IPA. Gold color, ok head. Usual grapefruit citrus taste ans aroma one would expect from an IPA.

Clear light amber colour. Lots of piney and slightly floral hops. Some diacetyl underneath that. Taste is quite a bit heavier on the diacetyl, and though it has a fair bit of hop bitterness, it’s not enough to cover it up. Really missing the point of session IPA.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale yellow color with a medium sized soapy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweetish faint touches of honey, bread and citrus. The flavor was dry and peppery with notes of bread dough and lemon. Medium length finish. light to medium body. Meh.

Draft @ Holy Grail, Epping, NH. Crystal clear yellow urine color, some head retention. Aroma is weak biscuit malt and weak floral hops. I don’t get Citra from the dry hopping in the nose.
Flavor is weak notes of grassy and floral hops. Malt base is mild with light grain. The body is thin and watery. Lightly dry finish and texture. Very mild in every way. Dare I say weak?? Ok, overall it’s not impressive for any true hophead. But it does work as a decent shelf beer when grabbing groceries at the super market.
