Tap taster at Keep NH Brewing. Clear gold with no sparkle, nice head, excellent retention and nice lacing. Aroma is musty old cheese. Taste follows aroma. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Maybe some palate fatigue and not at my best at the end of the festival, but didn't love this one.

4 oz. pour on tap at Keep NH Brewing fest. It's a pale yellow, no sparkle, finger width frothy head, no lacing. Aroma is slightly smoky, wheat, mild spice. Taste is strong pepper heat, wheat, smoke. Mouthfeel is light side of body, thin texture. Strong habanero--just a question of whether you like that or not--slightly more than I want. I respect the smokiness as well.

4 oz. pour on tap at Keep NH Brewing fest. It's a cloudy light brown with finger-width white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma is funk, fruity esters, wheat, tart fruit. Taste is mildly smoky, more sweet than tart funk. Mouthfeel is typical for style. Overall, OK but not as interesting as other Canterbury offerings today.

4 oz. pour on tap at Keep NH Brewing fest. It's a maple-syrup brown, lightly cloudy thin ring, no lacing. Aroma is funk, barrel, elderberries, background caramel. Taste is caramel, tart fruit, wood, elderberries. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation. Overall, once again props for taking a path less traveled. Well made.

4 oz. pour on tap at Keep NH Brewing Fest. It's opaque black with ton of light brown head with nice lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, cedar. Taste is dry, earthy roasted malt with cedar. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, fairly thin texture. Overall, props for doing something different with the cedar but it's not a flavor I typically enjoy in any beer. Good strength for ABV.

Solid 4 ounce pour at “ Keep NH Brewing”Aroma is indeed. Mild smoked malt with a note of habanero pepper. The wheat in the smoke malt is hardly found after a mild lasting habanero pepper. Pepper here is no joke. Spicy!

Sample at the source Lightly hazy dark chestnut color with a frothy off white head that persists. Rich caramel toffee and chocolate maltiness with bits of earthy hops to counter. Nice brown ale.
