Description
Since our opening in 1996, Twain's has grown right along with Decatur, with a laid back atmosphere for friends to gather and have fun while enjoying excellent food and great beer. In 2006 we added a 7-barrel brew house and expanded our kitchen. We have focused our efforts on delicious house ales while continuing to support Georgian and American Craft beers and spirits. Twain's is committed to the use of local and sustainably produced ingredients in our kitchen. We are proud to be a part of the Decatur community, providing a comfortable place for folks to relax, laugh, and play.

Draft at the source. Almost completely black, beige edge head. Aroma of peppery licorice, smokey chocolate, espresso. Taste is nutella and anise dipped in hot peppermint cocoa and coffee. Holy cow! Delicious.

Draft at the source. Very dark maroon color, thick brown head, solid lacing. Aroma of chicolate biscuit and Hersheys syrup. Taste is sweet milk chocolate oatmeal. Nice.

Draft at the source. Clear amber brown color, thick tan head, solid lacing. Aroma of nutty caramel, peanuts, nutella. Taste is smooth nutella and cocoa. Tasty.

Cask at ACAT. Pours a clear golden amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice light citrus hop notes with a touch of grapefruit and a sweet grain backing. Flavor a light grain backbone with some light citrus and a bit of pine. Drinks well.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a note of passionfruit and light citrus with a hint of grapefruit and earthy grains. Flavor has citrus and earthy passionfruit that mellow to grassy hops and a bit of earthy grain.
