7.6/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 7 Flavor 8 Texture 8 Overall 7.5
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a sturdy dark burnt orange almost orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a slow pace. Slight lace.
The aroma had some caramel/toffee malts up front and then a nice earthy/grassy hop blend with some orange pulp sweetness and dark fruits. Light woodiness and a little bit of leather and tobacco also make a small play underneath.
The flavor dryly moved the malts into the hops somewhat sweet with a touch of bitterness at the end. Aftertaste was moderately sweet with a dry malty finish.
The palate was medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. Low key carbonation and the ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty good old ale that I could have again.

The appearance was a burnt amber color with a thin white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had some malty caramel/toffee sweetness running into some light herbal/earthy hop qualities and a little bit of sweet grain.
The flavor leaned towards a malty dryness and pulling the earthy/herbal qualities in for a nice balance. Nice smooth aftertaste and finish.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty nice Irish red ale that I could have again if I could get it.

The appearance was a semi-dark brown color with an off white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Light stringy sliding lace.
The aroma had some sweet and roasted nuts up front and then a light dose of caramel/toffee malts flowing underneath. Light earthy hop.
The flavor was moderately sweet with the roast of the nuts and malts coming through fairly nice. Slight milk chocolate smoothness rolling through the aftertaste and on into the finish.
The palate was almost medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. ABV felt good and it came across super smooth rolling all around my tongue.
Overall, really super nice brown ale well worthy of having again.
