Draft. Light golden body with a frothy white head. Aroma of hay, herbs with a hint of canned vegetables. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A bit thin for the style; it’s missing the malt breadiness and sweetness of a Great Lakes Dortmunder, for example. Style aside, there’s a lingering bitterness that’s nice. Easy drinking.

Can. Clear amber body. White, fizzy head, slowly diminishing. Mild aroma of raw, leafy hops with hints of caramel and citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Certainly not a hop-forward IPA which is fine. It’s the leafy hop taste that drags this down from what could have been a clean, crisp, slightly bitter IPA. A bit of a mess.

Draft at Rich Os. Ruby brown body with a diminishing tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, sweet coconut milk with hints of coffee and chocolate. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes much the same with a bit more bitterness that nicely balances the predominantly sweet flavors. Tastes of sugar with hints of toasted coconut and milk chocolate. Medium body, creamy texture and moderate carbonation. This was a pleasant surprise. Easy to drink with a nice set of complimentary flavors — the coconut well balanced with the roasted malts.
