Can. Clear golden. Honey, spicy yeast, bitter herbal and veggie notes, dusty. Medium sweet and quite bitter. Nasty dead yeast taste.

Bottle. Color: Hazy red amber, very thin beige head. Aroma: Malty, caramel and Cognac notes, boozy hints. Taste: Malty, caramel, toffee hints, Sweetish, fruity (grape), bit spicy and boozy Cognac. Over medium to full body, low carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet, light going to moderate bitterness. Nice, but I keep thinking about the potential this barrel would have had on a nice Stout. A bit unbalanced now, the Red Ale is pushed away by the Cognac in my opinion.

Bottle. Murky dark amber/brow with shades of red. Devoid of any head. Aroma of malts, dried and stone fruits featuring mild hints of whisky. Taste of dried fruits, caramel, malts, toffee, anise and a whiff of whisky though the barrel presence is rather subdued. Low bitterness. Low carbonation. Very balanced and the alcohol is really well hidden. Fine and enjoyable but a little more complexity would make quite the difference.

Flesje gekregen van Tomhendriksen en thuis gedronken. Donkerbruin bier met mooie beige schuimkraag. Aroma is fruitig, caramel-achtig. De smaak is fruitig (kers / braam), zoet en dropachtig. De dropsmaak blijft even hangen.

Taste is roasty dark malty, slightly fruity, some roasty and hoppy bitterness, notes of liquorice, bramble, blueberry, hints of tarmac. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Quite intense, nice dirty aspects - good!

Bottled 330ml (Biertonne)
Amber colour, medium-sized off-white head. Some fruits and horse shit in the nose. Fades a bit over the time. Medium-bodied. Tropical fruity, malty, citrus, kiwi, pine ... fortunately shitty aroma is not in the flavour.
