Description

0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before September 2019. Slightly hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny and slightly grassy aroma of mango, orange jam and pine. Gently sweet, pretty malty, slightly bitter, fruity-resiny and slightly grassy taste of orange jam, pine and some mango, followed by a short, gently bitter, rather resiny and a bit grassy finish. Medium to full body, almost creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Straightforward, rather classic IPA, pretty good!

Bottle [from trade with bierkoning, thanks!] @ home. Clear light amber to amber color with a medium to full sized white to off-white head that lasts for a decent while and leaves fair lacing. Aroma is decently hoppy with a clear note of malts and caramalts. Flavor is indeed malt forward initally with caramalts clearly in there, again though a more than decent hoppiness and a pleasant hoppiness as well. Well balanced, works with the caramalts which provide a firm malt bitter finish while the hops give the beer a pleasant mellowed down flavor with perhaps a hint of floral-sweetness and grassy-sweetness. I like this one. Pretty well done!
