On tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook. Hazy dark amber body with a medium creamy white head. Sweet citrus hops aroma with a caramel background. Heavy caramel and string citrus hops flavor.

OK, so I admit to the fact I enjoy watching the 3D beast wars. This beer has a typical ubiquitous pale yellow american beer appearance including the head at first. It was on tap at the Bocktown, thanks to Chris and dstchef. The aroma is that of a pine tree in sapping. There are also hints of floral hops in there. Head keeps hanging, it does not fade like any brew. First taste is bitter, bitter and more bitter like I am chewing on the rinds of a florida grapefruit picked right off the tree. What is it these hop lovers love about these brew? I don’t think I can ever get used to this, wasn’t hops used as a preservative? Why use them now, just flavor enhancers? I don’t get it. This is just what I expected for this style. An impact that is just plain offensive and derogatory. It is like bitter medicine. Medium carbonation. Finish reminds me of the energizer bunny; the back of the throat bitterness just keeps going and going. Typical acrid bitterness that I associate with the IPA style. Will not buy again, but if you like hops, put this on your list of ’to try’.

Goblet served off tap at the HDG. small head but thick and frothy. All hop aroma - creamy, amarillo and simcoe like. Pretty much your basic middle of the road DIPA. A bit too bitter getting on the way of the flavor. Despite being so hop heavy there is a nice effervescent feel to it.
