(On tap) Clear brown with good off-white head. Nice aroma with subtle notes of toffee and pine. Medium body with good carbonation. Tangy start, with some toffee notes. Nice hoppy bitterness develops for crisp finish. Very good.

From a 640ml bottle on 29/8/2017. Pours dark brown with a medium head. features a very light aroma of chocolate, caramel and coffee. The flavour is sweet with chocolate, lactose, vanilla and just a hint of coffee coming through. You certainly won’t confuse this with a Speedway Stout. Finishes with a mild roasty bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A fairly easy drinking stout, which could use a bit more character.

On tap at Illawarra, pours a reddish dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has a diacetyl problem, with subdued roast and dry hopping. Flavour is likewise the same, with light roast, piney hops and diacetyl. The diacetyl is less pronounced on the flavour, thankfully. Gotta fix this.

On tap at Illawarra, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is a massive diacetyl bomb, with light pine and biscuity malt in back. Flavour is unfortunately the same, with a big diacetyl infection. Can't drink this. Drain pour.

On tap at Illawarra, pours a hazy pale copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out some light diacetyl, biscuity malt and a touch of floral hopping. Flavour is slightly off, with a touch of diacetyl over everything, along with dry biscuity malt and dry hopping. Needs tweaking but it's not a disaster at least.
