Pours dark good nose, this is an near imperial milk stout without the bitter edge that you get from the Cassells version.
Very good.

Dark, sweet & strong. A bit too much of everything even for a stout fan I found.

Nice Belgian beer with honey, not too sweet & the honey is about perfect, not too strong. The ABV is well hidden, be aware.

440ml can. Pours a clear mid gold with a small white head. Aroma is mild generic beer. Beer is clean, crisp but with more hops flavour & mild bitterness, probably close to what they were aiming for. A slightly hoppier than usual lager. Fine.

An accidental region tick to complete NZ - surely a good omen. Can. Somewhat cloudy brown with a light beige head. Aroma of coriander, chicory, chocolate. A bit bready with caramel and some chocolate before a nice spicy finish.

Tap at Lumsden Free House, Auckland. Pours clear gold with white foam. Light malts, mildly hoppy. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Mundane, tastes like a million golden ales in the UK.
