On tap at the source. Pours with just a touch of haze a bright golden orange color with a thin off white head that persists. Spicy pepper, light clove, earthy with some bready crackery malt behind it. Nice to break up the onslaught of chewy ipa's

Draft @ Backlash. Hazy golden. Sweet, lemonade, bit of pine, onion and garlic, perhaps Simcoe. Soft, smooth, a bit odd.

Pours hazy pale mango into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving soapy lacing. Mango, pineapple and papaya aromas. Astringent overripe tropical fruit skin upfront turning to earthy pith in the lasting finish.

Can into a snifter showing moderately hazy pale gold with sparse white foam. The nose shows pronounced notes of sharp clean pineapple with hints of mint and cannabis. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Moderately intense flavours of pineapple with hints of sharp pine and pineapple with a moderately sharp pine bitterness on the finish. They're still getting there but it's not bad.

16 oz. can from Craft Beer Cellar, Amesbury. The aroma has notes of lemons, straw, orange and a bit of malt. The flavor is sweet with fruit, hay, citrus fruits, and a bit of alcohol. Alcohol is not really hidden. Low bitterness with a light juicy citrus character. I like this more than the original Salute.

Can, undated, thanks, TJ, drunk 5/28/17.
Good appearance; hazy, bright goldenrod, good-sized, white head showing moderate retention.
Yeasty dough notes obscure lighter pineapple underneath. Some leafy, green character, with light spice, lime and lemon zest, but it’s all extremely hard to discern, having to swirl vigorously and get your nose in there. Something seems to be adding a lot of blandness, that being the yeast, as this isn’t even an older can. Alcohol seems restrained in the nose and there isn’t any real flaw; but there isn’t really any thing period, here.
Lime and pineapple mix with a light wood and spice, potpourri-like character. With warming it gets pretty boozy. Low, somewhat loose carbonation and a soft, lightly malty texture. Very rough around the edges and with very unfocused, rather messy, hop character, as most cans coming out of DBC seem to be.
