Voici une bière simple, mais bien équilibrée et avec des arômes agréable que j'ai bien appréciée. En verre, nous sommes sur un blond orangé légèrement trouble et surmonté d'une mousse blanc cassée de 5 mm. Le nez, sur la camomille, le miel, l'orange et la pêche est sur une belle alliance fraîche et fruitée. Oh, ça n'envoie pas du lourd, mais l'ensemble a beaucoup de charme. L'attaque est bien équilibrée sur de beaux arômes d'orange, de pêche, de camomille et d'épices. La deuxième bouche est très fraîche avec une belle amertume légèrement herbacée et des agrumes. L'arrière bouche sur les agrumes manque tout de même d'ampleur cependant. La troisième, au maximum d'amertume laisse alors place à un final un peu court mais sur une belle amertume fruitée. Le trio amertume/alcool/sucre est très bien. L'ensemble manque par contre quelque peu de corps mais j'ai apprécié le charme discret de cette merci maman.

Gekocht op 1-06-2018 voor mijn vaderkensdag bij Bierhandel Vercruyssen te Berlare. En thuis geproefd op 12-08-2018. Cuvee Mam’zelle is een eerder amberkleurig en wazig biertje dat maar weinig wit schuim produceert bij het uitschenken. Het blijft wel sterk aan het glas kleven en bestaat uit een gelijkmatige laag met hier en daar wat grovere bellen tussen. Zeer weinig CO2 pareling te zien met fijne belletjes. Het schuim zakt na een tijdje helemaal in elkaar en het gaat bijna helemaal weg. Het aroma van Cuvee Mam’zelle is wat geuze-achtig, fruitzurig en sterk honing-zoet met perzik en een alcohol toets. De smaak is honing-zoet van de alcohol, fruitzurig, met wat perzik, een lichte karamelmout-toets en een jeneverhintje. In de mond heeft Cuvee Mam’zelle een volle body in petto, is hij niet droog en komt hij met een volmondige textuur en een normale koolzuurgas tinteling. Een harmonieus biertje. De nasmaak van Cuvee Mam’zelle vloeit lang uit is honingzoet, fruitzurig, karamelmoutig met ook wat perzik en de jenevertoets. Een verrassend biertje, ik hou wel van wat zurigheid en hier komt er dan nog wat heerlijke honing zoetigheid bij terwijl de bitterheid volledig achterwege blijft, perfekt. Ce qu'il y a de bien avec les sour, c'est que je peux faire de courtes critiques. A part de très rares exceptions, la complexité n'est pas au rendez-vous... Il en est de même avec ce jeun'homme qui a pourtant 4 houblons, un houblonnage à cru et qui est passé 4 mois en barrique de chêne. Mais 4 sortes de houblon et un houblonnage à cru est-il nécessaire avec une acidité qui emporte tout sur son passage. Car en définitif, en bouche nous avons cette acidité alliée à des arômes de pomme et de fut. Simple (trop ?) mais efficace pour qui aime les sour.

The tenth anniversary beer from De Leite, a brewery that makes simple Belgian ales, but also produces a range of often remarkably fine sour ales – so for an anniversary, they fortunately opted for the latter. Comes from a stylish, Italian-looking bottle, bought at Bierhalle Deconinck. Snow white, moussy, lightly lacing, medium thick head on a cloudy straw blonde beer with ochre-ish tinge. Aroma of lemon peel, lots of vanilla-tinged wet oak wood, white grapes, orange, ripe pear, gooseberry jam, yoghurt, Chardonnay wine, sourdough, sweaty lambic-like funkiness but only a very, very vague touch of the promised smokiness. Estery, fruity onset, yellow plum and white grape effects with some banana ester hidden within, soft tartness, lactic, with softish carbonation; smooth, bready malt base dried by the soft, stewed rhubarb- and gooseberry-like sourness, ending with soft tannic woody notes and a sweet white wine aspect, juicy, with an earthy hop bitterish accent in the end; again, the smokiness remains all but unnoticeable. Not a bad thing perhaps, as I have very rarely seen smokiness and sourness work well together. This is basically a Belgian blonde embellished by wood and sour effects and in that sense a very tasteful beer, with almost vaguely lambic-like characteristics in the nose, yet not so much in the mouth. Do not get its classification as a Grätzer, Gose or Lichtenhainer here though, as it has absolutely nothing to do with either of those three ancient wheat beer styles...

Bottle at home. I just typed a whole rating but RB messed up. Slight hazy golden with small white head. Sour apple, grains, gooseberries, light cider vinegar, coriander, soft sweet malts, flight flowers 💐 🥝. Over medium sour, light sweet and very light bitter. Medium bodied.

Donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig en licht zoet en kruidig met iets van gras, appel en mango. Aparte maar goede smaak.

Sampled @ my one and only THT 2018. Clear yellow golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, sourish, light smoke. Hmm not my kind of beer. Smoke and tripel, nah not a combination for me.
