Keg pour from Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival. Aroma is mild bready malt with pine and herbs. Appearance is very nice clear golden yellow pour with no discernible sparkle with small head and decent lacing. Taste is medium bitter pine/spruce without much malt balance. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, average carbonation. A decent refreshing summer brew.

Poured from tap BBC Danvers dark red color no head at all. Aromas of caramel and very faint vanilla. Taste is thin and kinda watery with a smoky bitterness. Meh. Give me a Bud! --- Beer merged from original tick of Uncle Lumpy's Vanilla Porter on 03 Oct 2015 at 18:39 - Score: 4

Draft Danvers, MA location. Dark Ruby color with no head. Aroma is caramel and weak vanilla. The body is really thin and watery with a caramel candy and really damn weak vanilla in the finish. Mostly just watery caramel notes... Not good.

On tap at BBC Manchester. Brilliantly clear light golden color with a decent sized white head. Lemony spicy earthy sweet bready flavors with hints of wheat. I only tried it for the tick, but ended up really enjoying this beer.

On Tap at BBC Manchester. Dark brown color with no head by the time it made it to the table. Big caramel and toffee with some disturbing bitter butterscotch notes and little to no chocolate notes I normally associate with a porter. The Vanilla is extremely light I had to strain to find it. Another lackluster Woodstock beer.

Sample from the Granite State Brewers Festival 7/25/15 Earthy spicy wheat maltiness with a hint of ginger that doesn’t overpower. Light fruitiness crisp body. Not bad really.

Bottle from Harvest Market, Bedford NH. Aroma is cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, apples. Appearance is hazy amber brown with obnoxiously large 5-finger width beige head with minimal lacing and trace sparkle. Taste is weaker version of aroma. Palate is medium bodied with thin texture if you can get past the exploding carbonation in your mouth. It’s seemingly impossible to take a sip without it bursting into foam--what, is this Pop Rocks?! Overall, the dominant thing here is the palate. If you enjoy a large head or the feeling that you are drinking/eating foam, then this beer is for you.

Nearly cloyingly sweet brown ale, syrupy, like a pecan pie made by someone who doesn’t know how to bake and forgot to add pecans but didn’t burn it or do a totally horrible job at it.
