I got a pretty crappy pour of this at a Mexican restaurant i.e. no head that I could tell you about. The color of the beer itself was a rather dark brown, but still see-through. The aroma was of slightly roasted malts and some nuts. Taste got the caramel all over, along with a hearty amount of malts. As for the palate, it was not great, but good enough. Some sweetness pokin’ it’s head out. A rather standard and unmemorable brown ale overall... or maybe I am just over the style.

on tap-pours a tight off white head and yellow color. Aroma is light malt/wheat-slightly sweet, hint of fruity hops. Taste is light malt/wheat-slightly sweet, hint of fruity-lemon hops, yeast. Easy.

on tap-pours a tight light brown head and black color. Aroma is roasty/chocolate/anise-dark malt, some earthy hops. Taste is roasty/anise-drk malt, secondary acidic hops. Dryish finish.

12 oz bottle-pours a tan head and amber color. Aroma is lots of cinnamon/spice-medium malt. Taste is lots of cinnamon/spice-medium malt, some earthy.

Pours deep mahogany into an English pint. Creamy off-white head recedes to skim surface leaving slight sheets. Chocolate malt aromas. Tingly with sweet maple syrup upfront. Lasting sour chocolate finish.

Pours mahogany into a snifter. Head quickly disappears. Apple cider and cinnamon aromas. Sour grapes and bubblegum upfront. Turning to a baked sour apple and bitter finish.

Courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours brown with copper hues and thin tan head. The aroma is full and nearly rich with toffee, mild chocolate and a bit of roastiness. Smells nice. The taste has roast and chewy chocolate to caramel notes mixing with sweet malts and a touch more roastiness for good measure. The flavor notes come together and create a pleasing experience into the finish. YUM!
