4 oz. taster at the source. Appearance is a slightly hazy Amber/ orange color. Aroma are flavor is a mirror image. Mild pine, subtle floral, and easy malt backbone. The bitterness is easy and shows the pine again. Body is medium with a dry texture. Straight forward and simple APA. Easy to drink.

4 oz. at the source. Darker amber in color. Mostly spruce tips, bark, ligjt smoke. More smoke in the aroma. Ends on needles and weak smoke. Much more mild lder than I was guessing. Body is light.

Deep brass with copper hues, good clarity and a small, off-white head atop showing low retention.
Enjoyable, true saison notes in the nose of apple, lemon, honey and white pepper immediately grab my attention. As it warms and breathes, however, it does seem to get rather hoppy, adding lots of lemon, nectarine and sadly, grapefruit-pine. Too bad they didn't leave the Motueka out....
Almost sour in the mouth from an astringency that seems to be mostly hop-derived, but perhaps augmented by phenolics. Thankfully a lovely malt texture and good attenuation saves the day. Yellow apple, nectarine and huge white pepper on the finish. Again, while it's got some really wonderful, authentic saison qualities, the Mosaic hops begin to prove too much after just a sampler. This would easily get fatiguing given a full pour, which is a shame.

4 oz. draft at Earth Eagle. Deep ruby in color. Aroma is herbal with juniper, damp wood, and earthy malt. Chewy, earthy malt base, deep herbal roots. The finish is of course earthy but not overly-so. Wormwood gives a mild medicine hint. (In a turn of the century 1900’s tonic way). I give it points on originality.

4 oz. draft at Earth Eagle. Indeed red in color, aroma is mild yeast, very subtle cherry skin. Flavor is just as mild as the aroma. Belgian yeast is the main character with very subtle cherry hiding in the background. Plenty straightforward and simple.

4 oz. draft at Earth Eagle. Reddish appearance. Aroma is lemon juice, astringent oak, red grapes. The flavor is pretty sharp, tannic oak, acidic pucker in the glands. A pretty nice blending job by Alex or Butch. Not really my style but I see the appeal.

Really sour and nasty like the honey badger. Reddish pour with ok head. Oak and weed root with tons of acid. Some berries. Not something that works. Tap at pizza paradise.

4 oz. taster at the source. Cloudy orange / golden appearance. Aroma is subtle citrus, weak yeast, and pine. Taste of orange, light pine, white bread base. The sweet malts give a balance to the hop. Mild lingering herbal bitterness. Overall, simple pale ale, easy drinking. Could consume a larger amount if that was the goal.

4 oz. taster at the source. Mildly hazy appearance with no head. Aroma shows hay, musty basement, and of course Juniper. In the flavor the juniper is here throughout but does not become medicinal at all! (Juniper can do that very easily for me).. Funny thing is it almost tastes like it has asparagus in here as well. The bar manager nailed that comparison. Thank you lady!
