Tap at Earth Eagle, Portsmouth. Color is cloudy orange with very small white head. Aromas and flavors: Ripe fruits, spices, juniper, some yeasty elements, banana and malts. Some bread too. Not really sahti but has lots of real sahti elements. Probably best "sahti" I have tried from American breweries.

Tall can compliments of AFH. translucent black..brown hues. 2 finger espresso cream head. Smells really good. like a juicy pineapple. The flavor. very sharp roasted qualities, insanely bitter like chewing on a pine tree. finishes like toast with orange marmalade.

4 oz. draft at the brew pub. Earthy gruit / milk stout hybrid. Really different. The aroma is herbal/ almost a juniper note, cola, and mild malt. The flavor is similar to a root beer. Anise, wood, mint, almost a caramel/ syrupy hint that ends herbal. Mouthfeel is smooth like a stout. Also a subtle sour hint toward the back end. Real different for sure.

4 oz. draft at the brew pub. Hazy straw color, small lasting white. Aroma shows me herbal berries, yeast, floral hints. Flavor is rather interesting, Belgian yeast peaks through a mild linger dead flower / berry nuance. No ABV is noticed but I am sure if you drank a lot it would catch up to you.

4 oz. draft at the brew pub. Deep brown color, ruby highlights, thin head. Aroma is subtle roast, mild coffee, stale lager yeast notes. Flavor is spot on the German style, mild coffee, roast, ash, and a light yeast character. Ends with a subtle roasty, coffee like flavor. Well crafted.

4 oz. draft at the source. Nice pinkish / reddish color, no head. Aroma is rose petals, sour grain, and perhaps yeast. Flavor has a mild sour finish balanced with dried flowers and yeast. Sour citrus. Alcohol is completely hidden. This is 8.8!! Wow, easy and smooth.

22 oz. bottle purchased at the brewery. Dark brown color with thin white head. Aroma shows wood, spice, soil, lactic notes. Flavor is pretty good, earthy, mild spicy hints. The finish has a hint of acid that is balanced by the sweet earthy hints. Pretty good overall.

Bottle from AFH. Bomber. very dark and cloudy. raisin colored. The aroma is fantastic. Juicy raisin bread, herbs, coriander, pepper and maple syrup. hmmm, there's a good acidity here from I think the mushrooms. very sour for a Gruit. Interestingly enough it's very tasty. I love the herbal earthy spices with a little acidity and bark and maple finish.

Bomber from AFH. Thanks man! It's a dark reddish color. a slight bit of haze. 1 finger head. the smell is a pineapple, caramel and vanilla aroma. very boozy. loads of tropical fruits, pineapple, mango. hmm. interesting. it's good and tasty.
