22 oz. bottle purchased at the brewery. Color is a brown type color, mild carbonation. Aroma is raisins, prune, sugar, and mild bourbon barrel.

The flavor is forward on the bourbon. Still shows a warm booze finish. Almost a tad of sugar. Medium body with an almost syrupy texture. Ummmm, this still needs some time. If any nerd is reading this, hold your bottle for awhile.

8 oz. at the source. Clear in color red, thin white head. Aroma shows MacIntosh Apples, rye malts, and minerals. The flavor is a carbon copy of the aroma with a mild note of caraway seeds in the finish. No sugar at all which is really great. Crisp finish.

4 oz. taster at the source. Hazy bright yellow in color. Aroma shows me dried flowers, pale grain, yeast, and green herbs. Again another tuff one to describe.

The flavor is very herbal and green. Dead flowers, with the slightest amount of yeast in the background. The finish has some sweetness but the herbs kick in. Rides the border of becoming overly herbal.

Growler I filled about 22 hours ago, deep brown color, thin bubbles of white head. Aroma is lightly spicy, anise hints, mild clementine peel. The flavor the pretty even keel, mild licorice, earthy grains, very subtle citrus peel. Body is medium with a nice texture.

4 oz. taster at the source. The aroma is different; cured meat, salt, and mild Belgian yeast notes. If I was think the nose is odd, the flavor is just as strange. The yeast presence is here yet, it gives way to a salty, cured sausage flavor. The finish is a tad dry. I have had a lot of odd ales from Butch at EEB, this certainly is another Enigma. Off the wall yet again. Left me scratching my head after the sample.

4 oz. Draft at the brew pub. Almost clear deep brown. Aroma is mild raisins, mild yeast, dark bread. Taste is sweet within a medium body, moderate carbonation, thicker mouth feel. Finishes long. Tasting notes of raisin, brown sugar, toffee, allspice and pumpernickel bread. Nice.
