Crystal clear golden coloured body with a super-thin white head. Aroma of pale malt, stale hops, light alcohol and nothing else. Light-bodied; Pale cardboard & malt taste with some stale hops and light alcohol. Overall, a pretty bad beer, but this was expected. However, I was real happy to be able to sample this beer, brought back six months ago by jon[r888710] from Galveston Island, Texas. Many thanks to him for this beer!

Thin brown color with a small, fleeting head. Yeasty aroma. Flavor is cola-like sweet carbonic acid tang, thin body. Below average.

Bottle Pours a clear medium amber with a modest white head. Very nice, fine lacing. Aroma is basically hay and sweet malts. Flavor is sweet like grass and green apples. Feel is very thin and there is no real aftertaste. Well even water has an after taste...just not this.

Bottle Pours a clear light amber with a small short lived white head. Thin spoty lacing. Aroma is more like tea than beer. A bit fruity, apple pear maybe. Falvors are kind of a sweet cardboard. Almost no hops, some malt and a bit of brown sugar. Not unpleasant just not partiv\cularly inspiring. Feel is nice and carbonation is fairly lively. Trailer is a sweet slightly woody cut grass taste. "The Elk on the label is cool" LOL

Bottle Pours a clear medium amber with a modest light tan head. Lacing is good. Aroma is sweet and malty with a little hops. Unusual taste. Spicey, musty like a belgian. A weak belgian. This is a "Stout"? This may be the first time I invoke some "not true to style" rating score penalties. The flavor seams way out of character. Feel is thin and carbonation is soft. Aftertaste is that clove/spice thing again, but not very strong. Strange.

LOL...why the hate, guys? This is one of the best lagers I've ever tasted. Just kidding...but I wasn't revolted. If this beer has one characteristic that sets it apart from the rest of the American Standard pack, it's the rather strong sweet corn flavor of the body. The beer came across as quite sour after my first few sips, but I realized I was really tasting the corn parade. Not the most drinkable cheap beer but it still goes down easy.

Light orange color. More flavor than many American lights. Surprisingly good fruit aftertaste. Good for a light beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Honey Almond Light on 05 Sep 2018 at 19:10 - Score: 0. Original review text: 12/19/03

Straw golden colour with a dense white head and tons of small bubbles. Aroma of bananas, bubble gum, anise and metal. Light-bodied; Very mild banana flavour initially with a small malt background. Aftertaste has only a bit of flavour-but it is somewhat offensive. Overall, an odd beer from the supermarket, but a bit better than BMC, so if this is all you can afford-get it! I got this twelve ounce bottle from Safeway in Arlington, Virginia and sampled it on 23-November-2003.

Strange and unpleasant roasted flavor with an aftertaste of bread. Absolutely terrible; the worst "hefe" I have had. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hefe Weiss on 22 Aug 2018 at 17:20 - Score: 0. Original review text: 9/21/03. This was a horrible hefeweizen. I actually picked up a roasted character. no clove or banana, typical of the style

I should have known to stay away from this when I saw the words "cold lagered" on the package - who the hell lagers a stout? - this is more like a really horrible bock than anything else - stout? maybe if I smoked a few big rocks of crack and had a donkey violate my virgin asshole, I might become distracted enough to mistake this for an actual beer and not a root beer with a drop of rum in it - soft, watery, bland....ugh, what have I done to deserve this? someone go get my donkey.
