Black, very thin head. Some aroma of coffee. Flavor of vanilla, but none of the flavors or aromas were well done. I expected some chocolate taste but it wasn't there. Thin on the palate.

I bought the six-pack because I could put in other varieties of the beer and not have the grocery store clerks know (i admit to it), but it was not a smart investment. By far the worst wheat beer i've ever had, and very close to the worst beer ever....look no further than Lawson Creek for the worst beers you've had!

I bought the six-pack because I could put in other varieties of the beer and not have the grocery store clerks know (i admit to it), but it was not a smart investment. By far the worst 'pale ale' i've ever had, and very close to the worst beer ever....look no further than Lawson Creek for the worst beers you've had! The beer had no taste, not even hoppy!

Stout? This is hardly a brown ale. Poured light brown with head that disappeared quickly. Seemed thin. Some vanilla, but also the strange taste of sweet yams.

Another single from Albertson''s in Huntington Beach. I think this may actually be the first Black & Tan I have ever had. I think that may be due in part to the fact that a Black and Tan should never be bottled. This beer is a testament to the reasoning behind that rule. I always thought a Black and Tan served in a bar would allow the 2 different beers to separate like oil and water. This, on the other hand, was a copper-colored beer with a thin white head. The aroma is of burnt wood. The flavor has none of the good characterisitics of either Stouts or Bocks. This river needs to stay hidden for crying out loud.

Another find at Albertson''s in Huntington Beach. Orange color with a thin and quickly dissipating head. Very thin lacing. Pungent malty aroma. Slightly malty flavor with a sour finish. Very poor attempt at an Amber.
