On tap at Beer Keyaki Spring 2014. 5% A cloudy copper gold pour with a nice fruity apple & mild ginger aroma as the name suggest. The taste is more of the same but the wheat and weizen spiciness kick in too. Good. ----July 3rd, 2015---- As MAD SCIENTIST 5% on tap in Toyama. Pouring an orange with a slight pink tinge, milky honey type of clarity. A big juicy Apple 100% juice type of aroma with a ginger earthiness. Really nice flavor but more cider like - Apple, a mild ginger bite, fruity with that ginger in the finish... Yum.

On tap at Beer Keyaki Spring 2014. A cloudy opaque copper gold. A fruity yeasty spice nose with hints of cloves. Decent medium bodied with a smooth silky mouthfeel. The taste is fruity, figs, raisins, yeasty spice, not bad.

On tap at Beer Keyaki Spring 2014. A clear deep copper pour, decent head & a fruity floral hoppy nose. The taste is fruity & floral then a resinous pine bitter hit. A sharp bitter woodsy finish.

On tap at Beer Keyaki Spring 2014. A slightly bizarre pinkish cloudy orange, not too appetizing. Very yeasty clove nose. Medium bodied with a smooth creamy full mouthfeel. The taste is spicy cloves, a bit yeasty rich with just hints of banana.

On tap at Beer Keyaki Spring 2014. Ogawa porter a nice dark brown pour with a light beige head. Fruity cacao nose. Medium bodied with a decent mouthfeel. The taste is roasty, chocolate, cacao & bitter dark malts - solid.

Tap at 1020. Pale gold color, very cloudy, with lace. Grainy, citrus nose, lemon, spice, light esters. Not typical weizen. Tart, tangy flavor, lemony, with a very grain-bitter, husky finish. Oily. I appreciate their attempt to brew with their own malts, but this is not yet up to par at all. Pales in comparison to Zakkoku weizen.

soft hoppy nose of apple and oranges with a touch of biscuit . Low bitterness very quaffable pale ale. 5.0% but so drinkable. Nice and rounded without hitting new levels.

Tap at Watering Hole, Tokyo. Cloudy deep golden colour with a white head. Minimal lacing. Heavy ginger aroma. Strong ginger flavour with indistinguishable beer flavour. Works nicely as a cold remedy.
