Small, fast gone white hed over hazy orange beer. Farmyard/horseblanket lambicaromas a mile out, but nicely refined with fruity aromas, that indeed turn out to be apricot; lemon. Lactic acid, fruitacids, spritzy flavour. Apricot, +/- ripe nectarines. Tart, feels better carbonated than it looks, slickness-oily feel that relates to the fruit. Very good fruitlambic, apricots obviously marrying well with lambic. Txs to Stef!

Bottled February 2001. golden clear color, no head. smells funky, bit cheesy, earthy, dusty, some sherry, bit grassy. nice to very nice smell. medium body, no carbonation. tastes earthy, grassy, peppery, herbal, leathery, bit dusty. finishes dry and light to medium sour with notes of grass, peppery and earthy notes. pretty good one, bit dusty, a tad of carbonation wouldnt hurt, but overall this is nice, age not noticeable.

New fruit lambic by De Cam, with peaches this time; tried from a 75 cl corked bottle at BXL Beerfest. Snow white, moussy, large-bubbled and open head on a cloudy apricot blonde beer with yolk-yellow glow. Aroma rich in sweet ripe peaches in the most pure and fresh way possible, overpowering notes of green plum, damp hay, white yoghurt, green pear, unripe pineapple, old wood. Crisp, ‘greenish’ onset, lots of stonefruit with peach dominating (tart with a sweet core) but also plum and unripe nectarine; hints of red apple peel and gooseberry as well. Fizzy carb, ‘champenoise’, with quite full, bready malt and wheat core, deeply soaked in juicy, aromatic peach, adding a wave of ripe peach aroma retronasally as well as sweet and tart juiciness in the mouth. Green apple, wood and hay linger in the finish, but the peach keeps shining through it all, as brightly as it possibly can. A worthy follow-up to that equally bright and radiant apricot lambic De Cam released earlier this year.

(750ml 2018 bottle from Etre...I think) Pours lightly hazed medium-orange with a thick cream-coloured head that piled over and over, fairly stable, heavy lace. Aroma is rich and deep with heavy, almost sweet wood very prominent, lightly caramelized red apples, preserved apricot, lime peels, solid earthy funk, slightly leafy/menthol edge but quite 'aged' overall and without prominent acidity and with light petrichor. Flavour is drier than the nose suggests, slightly sweet peach and apricot flesh, red and green apple melange, lemon-lime spike of lactic acid, quite prominent wood, wet stone mineral/petrichor, some dry grass/hay, grain popping through, moderate funk, some drying tannin. Finish is dry with a little lactic lemon-lime squeeze, soft stone fruit, leafy with a hint of menthol, wood is quite dry and grippy with nice wet stone cleaning the palate. Light to medium slick body with fine but very filling effervescence despite the huge head piled up in pour. A really nice older lambic (in terms of age at bottling) with enough liveliness to offset the underlying woodiness of the 4 year fraction.
