This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown color with a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute and a half. There was some light clingy lacing maintaining a nice stickiness along the way.
The smell had some earthy nutty to chocolate with a light coffee, caramel and toffee blend in the background.
The taste was pretty much the same as the smell.
On the palate, this one sat right at a medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued but still good for the style and for me.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good brown ale.
