Part of a sampler at the brewery and my favorite of the bunch. Pours clear copper with almost no head. Moderately rich malt, especially on the flavor.

Strong deep copper and bronze coloured body with even a lightish brown glow and tint, all with barely a sliver of a perfectly white head on top. Aroma of deep caramelised sugars and pit fruits with a good bite of grain, earthy malt and some light toffee along with some specialty grains like rye even noticeable. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich earthy malt bite shows some of the pit fruit sweetness, but really the malt makes the body quite chewy and the alcohol really to peek through. Aftertaste shows a bit more of a balance between all the pitted fruit and sweetness alongside the deep malts, with a smooth alcohol bite (but still some warmth throughout) and a noticeable floral hop bite at the very end. Overall, a nice and interesting [almost] barley-wine with a deep bite and a strong character, but nice, especially in the setting of a brewpub here in Idaho. Good to sample and recommended, especially if you can find it here when you come in! I sampled this twelve ounce snifter, on draught, at the Snow Eagle Restaurant here in Idaho Falls, Idaho on 03-August-2020 for US$4,50 while eating dinner with my family for my first ever [real] trip to the State of Idaho!

Crisp and perfectly clear golden and copper coloured body with a fairly nice two to three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of very crisp hops that show some cleanser and astringent qualities along with some biscuity malt that is deep, a bit floral and seemingly very drying, all with some lightish alcohol noticeable. Medium-bodied; Assertive hops show the cleanser and deep dry qualities with some malt right behind and then bring in some caramelised sugar and sweetness all seemingly at the same time with a bit of a nuttiness as well. Aftertaste shows some good balance between the deeper and stronger malt notes and a dash of peppery and crisp hop notes that couple with the more prominent floral and herbal notes. Overall, a nice and enjoyable IPA that seems about right for a brewpub, not in a bad way, but just fairly typical for the style and the ingredients. Not a bad option, but I prefered the other IPA that I had (Hazy IPA) here more than this one.
