Description
Holy Mountain is a brewery and taproom located in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle, founded by co-owners Colin Lenfesty and Mike Murphy in 2014. The influence of oak has always been the focus of the majority of beers brewed at Holy Mountain. A sizable building near the Seattle waterfront has allowed the team to build a vast stock of oak barrels, puncheons, and foudres used for both primary fermentation as well as long-term aging.
The proximity of the brewery to the Yakima Valley also allows the team of brewers to utilize hops from the best producers in the world, constantly exploring the relationship between hops, oak, and mixed fermentation. Holy Mountain doesn't offer any year-round beers, which creates an ever-changing lineup in the brewery taproom. In addition to oak-influenced beers, Holy Mountain also offers a wide range of rotating, hop-forward ales and lagers.

Pale, slight haze, thin head. Clean bretty aroma with light guava accent. Mild guava, goes pretty well with the base saison. Quality brett, mild fruit.

Shared with Josh during our trip to Festival of Dark Arts 2026.
Aroma: Mix of guava and farmhouse notes, some little sweetness, nice bugs.
Taste: Quite bitter upfront, finishes with floral bitterness.
Overall: a bit too bitter, but it's enjoyable.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brown with a persistent creamy tan head. Aroma of dark roasty/burnt malt and chocolate. Med body. Malty and not dry. Bitter from burnt malt and coffee. Fair amount of chocolate and a good dose of lactose. Pretty good milk stout.

Can from Tavour. Pours darkish amber with a moderate tan head. Aroma of amber malt and floral hop. Med body. It's malty but not very sweet. Enough bitterness to balance. Flavor is slightly roasty caramel with floral and grass/spice for hop. Fits the style.

Pale, just a slight haze, thin head. Herbaceous hop, medium bitterness, full pale malt. Hop - saaz & spalt? (It's not, it's Tettnang & Mittelfruh). Something like that. Comes in somewhere between German and Czech for me?
