About
Holy Mountain is a brewery and taproom located in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle, founded by co-owners Colin Lenfesty and Mike Murphy in 2014. The influence of oak has always been the focus of the majority of beers brewed at Holy Mountain. A sizable building near the Seattle waterfront has allowed the team to build a vast stock of oak barrels, puncheons, and foudres used for both primary fermentation as well as long-term aging.

The proximity of the brewery to the Yakima Valley also allows the team of brewers to utilize hops from the best producers in the world, constantly exploring the relationship between hops, oak, and mixed fermentation. Holy Mountain doesn't offer any year-round beers, which creates an ever-changing lineup in the brewery taproom. In addition to oak-influenced beers, Holy Mountain also offers a wide range of rotating, hop-forward ales and lagers.

On tap at Holy Mountain Phinney, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of oak, rustic saison yeast, and a touch of citrus tang. Flavour is bright, with tart citrus, rustic saison yeast, oak, and some nice bugginess. Buggy, tart, citrusy finish. Excellent.

On tap at Holy Mountain Phinney, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright allium, piney hops, some melony tang, and general oiliness. Flavour is super bright, with oily, lemony hop tang, pine, some dank oiliness, and just enough malt to back. Wonderful expression of the Citra—one of the best Citra expressions I’ve had recently. Fantastic.

Flavour is bitingly bitter, with huge woody piney hops, a little melon, citrus rind, a touch of dankness, and crisp biscuity malt. Piney, bitingly bitter, and clean. Wonderful.

Flavour is bright and bitter—more heavily hopped than many IPAs—with lots of bitter pine, citrus zest, and crisp biscuity malt. Bright, bitter and highly drinkable. Excellent.

Flavour is bright, with copious grassy hops for the style, pronounced bitterness, and crisp crackery malt. Vibrant, bitter and eminently clean. Excellent pils.

On tap at Holy Mountain - Phinney Ridge. Pours clear blonde with a white head. Buggy saison yeast, must, some citric notes, woody oak. Flavour has lots of buggy saison yeast, some citrus, piney hops, woody oak. Nice yeast expression that works well with the hops and barrels. Very nice saison.
