Draft. A pitch black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt as well as lighter notes of soy sauce and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of rosted almost burnt malt as well as notes of wood and soy sauce, leading to a very dry and bitter finish. Light bodied.

Draft. A clear amber beer with a thick lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, spices and, caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spices, and minerals - do the minerals stem from the water used? The finish is dry and bitter and with a note of straw lingering.

500ml draught at the brewpub. Golden body with a slight haze. Patchy surface and fine lace at the edges of the glass. Smell of smooth citrus hops. Pleasant transition from aroma to the taste of citrus shells and a prolonged bitterness. Soft, almost wheaty, on the swallow. Well bodied. OMB house texture. A bit unvaried and an unusual beer for the season. However, very much to my liking. One of the very best pils in Norway. (Oslo, 15.12.2009).

(Draught at the brewpub, 5 Nov 2009) Black colour with a thick, creamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with black coffee, dark chocolate and a dry finish with a generous cocoa bitterness. More than medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Perhaps lacking some punch, but still a tasty and very well balanced stout. Nice one.

(Draught at the brewpub, 5 Nov 2009) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with dark fruit, caramel and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, citrus and earthy hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. The aromas are a bit closed in the nose, but come through better in the full-flavoured taste. Nice and well balanced beer.

Draught at the brewpub Deep black body with a lightly brown, creamy head. Excellent looking stout. Strong coffee aroma which is ok, but not complex. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter flavour: somewhat watery mouthfeel. Not bad, but not complex at all.
