Draft at the source. Deep ruby amber color, medium beige head. Aroma of tawny port, raisins, dates. Taste is similar with a bit of sour coffee. Interesting.

Draft at the source, courtesy of staff, thanks! Cloudy yellow, large fluffy white head, nice lacing. Aroma of bubblegum and grapefruit. Taste is sour citrus bubblegum. Not bad. By the way, the name means Beautiful (or actually Handsome) Winter.

Earth Bread + Brewery, Philly 13oz ($4.09): Pours a yellow orange color with a white head. Aroma is of saison yeast and a very light fruitiness, back up with some mild spicing. Taste is similar. Dryness is there. Mild complexity. Spice and hops meld well together. Lots of flavor for a low alcohol. Would be good to drink after a hard day of work (for the working girl they are quick to point out in the commercial description).

Earth Bread + Brewery, Philly 13oz ($4.09): Pours a pretty close to black color without too much in the head department. Aroma is chocolatey and full of dough. Taste is pretty much up the same way. Sweet throughout. Almost sour. Very bready, which is not surprising considering that the dough yeast was used to brew this. Reminds me of some other beers I’ve had, but they don’t come to mind. Kind of like a dark sour, but not quite there either.

Growler pours courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours deep dark mahogany with mocha like head. The aroma has a firm spicy black licorice note as well as dark roasted malts, sweet malts, earthiness, some lactose and faint tart tannin like fruit skins. The taste has rich malts and moving toward dark to near burnt malts followed by thick earthiness and spicy black licorice. It ends with lactose and mild fruity tannin like tartness.

Growler partagé avec Jcwattsrugger. Cheers John for this Belgianesque beer. Noire, mousse fine beige.

Courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours deep gold with a touch of haze and nice bright white head. It has a modest nose with a bit of acidity, grains, a bit of malts and a nuance of earthiness. The taste is crisp with mild spicy and earthy hops giving way to some grains and a growing influence of lemon acidity. It evens out and dries up somewhat into the finish making for a refreshing closure before the next quaff.
