From my brother from the brewery: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is bretty and earthy with hints of fruitiness. Taste is earthy and fairly bitter. Wild yeast is very noticeable. Pretty nice.

Can. Pours murky brown with large foamy tan head, rich mocha aroma with alcohol undertones, medium carbonation, bitter mocha-dark chocolate taste, thin body, long bitter mocha finish. A bit thin, could be more robust.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a ruddy amber color with a slight transparency about it. Just a cap of a little white foamy head that slid off at a good pace.
The aroma had some caramel/toffee malts up front with a little bit of nutty to earthy blend underneath.
The flavor was somewhat sweet but grabbed the expected dryness that came in to blend with some light woodiness and an even lighter herbal component. Low malty sort of aftertaste and finish.
The palate was almost medium bodied with a low carbonation about it. ABV felt fine.
Overall, seemed like an alright Irish red ale, perhaps a bit more herbal hop quality in this could assist it a bit more for the style.

The appearance was a semi-ruddy burnt orange close to brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace.
The aroma had good roastiness about it. Some nuts, sturdy malt base of caramel and toffee. Some light milk chocolate. Ended with some earthy hops.
The flavor leaned slightly to the sweet side and then developed some earthy spice as it warmed. Light bitter. Nice aftertaste with the earthinesss, roast and spice. Finish was the same.
The feel was roughly medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. Good ABV.
Overall, nicely done brown ale that I’d have again and am glad these guys distro to me.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt orange color with a sustaining white cap that ended up dissipating at a nice pace.
The aroma starts off with a sharp bitter dried grassy to citric juicy pulpy orange juice and then the crisp dry malts over some hop spice, slightly peppery.
The flavor balances very nicely between the spice to the bitterness of the hops with some sweetness from the hops and then with a sweetness from the malts. This one seemed to integrate very well between the malts and the hops. Light sticky bittersweet hoppiness rolls over into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a light dry yet sticky contour over my tongue. Carbonation seems good for the style, enough AIPA harshness expresses itself nicely.
Overall, nice to see that Brown’s is hanging in there and possibly re-working some of their beers. At one time, I thought this brewery was going to give it all up but if they keep brewing this, well, they could re-name this \"Comeback.\" As I know I would have this again.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a rustic brown color with a slowly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head. Light lacing. I see the seeds in this, so yes, well, we know that’s authentic raspberry in this.
The aroma leans red raspberry first and then opens up on into some light sweetness. Ends up balancing very nicely between the tart and the sweet.
The flavor balances very nicely between some caramel malts playing underneath on the fruity aromas. Semi-sticky fruity aftertaste leading into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable smooth crisp sweet feel hitting my tongue appropriately. Carbonation is barely there.
Overall, this was a nicely done fruit beer taking the cherry and the red raspberry over a light malt base. For the style, this is quite good and even for me, I can see myself coming back to.

On tap at Vermont Tap house.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a glossy to hazy burnt out hazy orange slightly yellow color with a slight transparent carbonated nice look to it.
The smell starts off with a sweet to tart fresh green apple. Sly warming breadiness. Delicate use of black pepper. Floral/hibiscus. Crisp tart citrus pulp. Sly vinous qualities.
The flavor takes on the previously mentioned aromas to boot and curve the \"sour\" into a sticky sweetness. Nice sticky bready to affixed spicy/floral aftertaste. Sweet wet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it Carbonation rides fairly light.
Overall, this was a decent \"semi-soured\" saison that I could have again.
