This was cloying, sweet, and just a huge malt bomb. It was like dipping a piece of bread into a vat of alcohol, and brown sugar, and then fermenting it. It was way too seweet to finish, the alcohol was very prominent. Not a very good beer.

Not sure what these great ratings drank, cause it wasnt what i had at the mondiale de la biere. This is a cloyingly sweet syrupy mess. This is alcoholic syrup, plain and simple. There is nothing to take away from this. Its pretty much a bad mead.

pitch black pour, big brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice, cofee, and alot of booze! Very hot, and slightly peppery alcohol, with more of the thick resinous roasted malt, and an intense burnt coffee finish.

Honestly i couldnt tell the different from this and their imperial stout, the Sacrilege. LOts of roasted/burnt malts, coffee, and touches of cocoa, and loads of booze. These high octane beers, and getting out of hand.

Another mainstream beer for the masses. Unoffensive, boring aromas and flavors. Light hopping, light malts. Meh.

Decent cereal yeasty aromas. Some light hops. Not too offensive like i expected. Decent carb, light bitterness. A nice patio beer.

Hazy yellow pour, light citruc aroma, more sour yeast. Flavor was muddled by a sour yeasty wheaty flavor, with an odd metallic i wasnt expecting. Jesus, how old os this keg?!

Clear brown pour, small white head. Nice nutty aroma, some caramel malts, and very light hops. Nice roasty nutiness stays with me, and the carb is nice. Ends with a light grassy cereal note. Decent beer.

On tap at the brewpub. They called the style a two penny. Seems to me like it was a Mild Ale. Slight malty aroma, and really not much else. This is really bland and boring. They really watered this down. Its not awful, just doesnt taste like anything.

NIce darl brown pour good maltiness inthe aroma, and flavor. A decent Scottish ale, but could use a bit more kick as it was a tad wattery in the finish.
