A deep dark stout with a thin dark moka head. A pleasant coffee aroma, and light chocolate. In mouth, a light bitter chocolate, a bit of ashes, not much else. Tasted at St-Bock 31-10-08.

A reddish brown ale with a thin light moka head. A light caramel and vinous aroma, light treacle, very restrained. In mouth, a nice caramel malt, molasses, treacle and licorice. Good alcohol warmth. Rich bodied, lingering. A decent barley wine. Tasted at St-Bock 31-10-08.

A reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. A nice sweetish vinous aroma, caramel, very pleasant. A sweet woody malt in mouth, peated notes, a bit of molasses, licorice, and nice warming alcohol in finale. Rich and smooth. Tasted at St-Bock 31-10-08.

A reddish copper ale with a thin off white head. A chalky caramel aroma with light licorice. Sweet candy sugar, curacao, Belgian in style, but rather watery. A lukewarm example of a beer. Tasted at St-Bock 31-10-08.

A deep dark stout with a thin moka head, served with a marshmallow in the glass. Pleasant mix of chocolate and vanilla in aroma. In mouth, a good chocolate, coffee, a bit of licorice. Good balance of these elements. Medium bodied. On tap at Bières et Saveurs, August 29, 2008 (Chambly, QC).
