Dégustée en fût au Saint-Bock. De couleur brune foncée et quasi-opaque. Nez malté de caramel moyennement fumé (fumée de bois) et aux notes terreuses et rôties, léger de fruits (raisins vineux, notes de cerises) avec des notes de houblon herbeux et des traces de chocolat. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-bas et une texture moyennement crémeuse et huileuse. Moyen goût fruité (raisins vineux, léger de cerises, traces de prunes lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de caramel, de malt légèrement terreux et aux notes rôties ainsi que des traces de mélasse et de sirop d’érable puis à mesure que la gorgée avance, un léger goût de malt fumé (fumée de bois) ressort jusqu’en finale avec une moyenne amertume de houblon herbeux asséchant et des petites notes d’alcool. Post-goût long-moyen et un peu sec, moyen-léger amer de houblon herbeux, léger de rôti avec des notes rôties et de fumée ainsi qu’un goût fruité (moût de raisins et de cerises). (automne 2006)

A deep darl porter with a thin moka head. A nice prune and oak barrel in aroma, dark fruits, soya sauce. In mouth, a superb sweet licorice, plum, cloves, and warming alcohol. Rich and warming offering, and a good 4000th rating! On tap at Mondiale 2009.

A hazy golden ale with a thin white head. A estery malt aroma. In mouth, a weird herbal and fruity ale, with bilous notes. Is this a fruit beer.Not good. On tap at brewpub, April 12 2009.

A deep dark ruby red ale with a thick resilient moka head. In aroma, In mouth, a earthy hops aroma, like soil, not bad, but faint, a bit mineral. In mouth, a light earthy ESB with herbal notes, lightly nutty, not bad. On tap at brewpub, March 27 2009.

A deep dark stout with a thin dark moka head. A pleasant coffee aroma, and light chocolate. In mouth, a light bitter chocolate, a bit of ashes, not much else. Tasted at St-Bock 31-10-08.

A reddish brown ale with a thin light moka head. A light caramel and vinous aroma, light treacle, very restrained. In mouth, a nice caramel malt, molasses, treacle and licorice. Good alcohol warmth. Rich bodied, lingering. A decent barley wine. Tasted at St-Bock 31-10-08.
