Established in 1996
In the early 1990s, Roger and Linda decided to market their own beer: a custom-made high fermentation blonde. The Bon Secours was born! These were promising beginnings but they still dreamt of creating their own brewery. A dream which became reality when they bought the machinery from the Deneve brewery in Schepdaal and inaugurated the first brew in 1996!
In 2007, the NV Brasserie Caulier was declared bankrupt. At the beginning of 2008, the activities were transferred to a private limited company of the sons of Roger Caulier, who subsequently adopted the name Brasserie et Distillerie Caulier. As of 2012, Laurent, Bertrand and Vincent joined their parents in the adventure. In order to respond to the growing demand for its products, in 2018 the Brewery began a large multi-annual programme of investments with the goal of tripling its production capacity. The historical Brewing House has been extended, new fermentation and storage tanks have been added, and the bottling line has been modernised.

Botrle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Hoppy, floral and grassy, some tropical fruit. Taste: Hoppy, moderate bitterness with quite strong, moderate sweet malty backbone. A little more bitterness at the dry-ish finish. Floral, grassy and some tropical fruit and stone fruit. I was hoping for a more hop-forward beer like for example De Ranke Hop Harvest. Unfortunately this beer is no match for it. Ok overall.

Huge, light lemon yellow head, very stable, fed by lively carbonated orangey yellow beer, veiled, and with textbook lacerings. Spicy nose, I get wormwood, lavender, mint, beeswaxed wood. Very spice-intoned. Light(er) spicy flavour, some citrus; finish is wry-ish bitter-spicy; again reminding me both of wormwood and waxed oak. Very carbonated, quite slick to viscous; slightly burning feel, light body. Strange beer. There is something to say for this one. Txs to Stef!

44 cl. can shared with Hilde @ home, gift from Kulenborgse Bierhandel. Clear dark golden with a white head. Weedy piny aroma. Sweet taste with a medium bitter taste. Very malty and very Belgian IPA but I tend to like those.

0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', brewed in January 2023, best before March 2025. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently yeasty-spicy, slightly fruity-grassy aroma of hay, honey, clove and some lemon peel. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, slightly dry, quite grassy, fruity-floral and gently yeasty-spicy taste of grains, clove, hay, lemon peel, vanilla and honey, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Refreshing, nicely hoppy Tripel, extremely well-balanced. Good!

On tap at 't Mouterijtje Kortrijk. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. Good tripel aroma. Orange aroma. Maybe a bit yeasty more than others. Good biting bitterness on the finish. I mean properly bitter on the finish. Very good tripel. Good quality. Light easy drinking. Some tangerine flavour

On tap at Alkmaars Bierhuis, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle candi sugar, floral notes, and some doughy notes. Flavour is somewhat chaotic, with Belgian yeast esters, candi sugar, floral notes, and a bit of perfumey booze. Not the most refined tripel, with the yeast being a bit chaotic. Pleasant though and not too estery. Okay.
