Bottle. This beer was awful. It smelled skunky, tasted skunky. It was just a bad beer. It also says it is an "ale". I thought "pilsener" was a lager. Anyway, not very good.

Bottle. Aroma, nice spicy, hoppy smell. Taste, actually one of the better IPAs I have had nice flavor. Not overly bitter. Recommended.

Bottle. Aroma was spice, nutmeg, fruity. Orange with a hazy look. Taste like, well like, pumpkin pie and beer. But, it’s not bad.

On draft at Trio in Kitty Hawk. Pours a clear dark cola brown with a tan head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate. Flavor is bitter roast espresso. Loads of flavor in a low abv beer.

Originally rated December 2004. My parents brought me back a 6-pack of this brew from the States. Poured a pale yellow colour with a white foamy head that left a good amount of lacing. The aroma I got was mostly grainy (right after the pour - and not much after that). The taste was mildly of malts and grasses. The aftertaste that kicked in after a while was rather sweet-tangy. Maybe better then Coors Light... but not sure ?!?!!

Sample at OH! Growlers! Tasting on 01/31/2012: Bottle from a BBQ place at the Charlotte airport. The beer is a pale orange color with a thin white head that dissolves quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Sweet strawberry and malt in the nose. Light body with a strawberry Creme Saver flavor. Some malt in the mix too. The finish is almost cloyingly sweet with a strawberry aftertaste. Slightly below average overall. I have mixed feelings as this is the beer that put me in the Ratebeer Top 100 for the first time ever.

Bottle from Beer Run. Pours a hazy dark red with a medium sized fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of plums, toasted malts, floral hops. The taste is plums, apples, anise, raisin, toasted malts. Bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. A little bit weird.
