Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.
Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

Bottle, low brown head. Soy and iodine, barrel notes, dry sherry. Medium full viscous body, light sticky, dry salty sherry notes on the front, dark sugar, roast, iodine chocolate, spicy bon Bons, chocolate covered sweet licorice, dry grape sparkles. Intense, Interesting.

0.33 bottle. Almost no head. Bourbon vanilla/soy sauce aroma. Amazing silky flavor, sweet Sherry flavor from the Pedro ximinez barrel. Great to share a bottle between about 4 people with dessert. Yes!

Bottle. Oily black color with beige head. Aroma is wood, a bit ash, soy sauce, dried fruits. Taste is raisins, dried red fruits, a good amount of PX cask influence, light roast, ash and burnt wood, thick berry syrup, a touch liquorice, a bit diabetes. Very creamy, thick mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. The aroma is a bit too soysaucey for me, but the taste is really great, albeit cloying.

Sample at SBWF 2018. Black with a minimal head. Sweet with dark malt, dried fruit, some licorice and soy sauce. The body was almost full and the finish quite long.
