Description
Brasserie du Bocq was set up in 1858 by Martin Belot. The Brewery was incorporated into a limited company in 1949. Independent of any Belgian or foreign brewer, it still beholds its own family nature. Located in the heart of the Condroz, wonderful tourist region, this dynamic company still uses the traditional manufacturing process of top-fermentation beers with secondary fermentation in the bottle.
In 1983, Brasserie du Bocq abandons the exploitation of Central Brasserie Marbaix -La-Tour, to bring all the beer production back to Purnode where the production tools have been radically modernized on the basis of equity. Today in Purnode, although the Belot family has sold its assets to the Keersmaekers family who has been producing the Corsendonk at the Brasserie du Bocq for over 30 years, and even though the brewery has far exceeded its regional framework, nothing has changed and the values of the company remain intact.

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy deep amber pour, three finger creamy beige head, long lasting, sticky lacing on the glass. Sweet and malty on the nose, ripe fruits, toasted caramel, floral. Quite nice.
Medium body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, creamy. Goes down nicely. Swert taste balanced with mild bitter notes in the background. Aroma of toasted caramel, ripe fruits, bread. Nutty, floral, wood notes. Licorice, brown sugar. Herbal notes, mild spice. Subtle alcohol in the background, warming. Long lasting finish, sweet, sticky, dry. Mild lingering alcohol.
Tasty.

An enjoyable Belgian wit beer, easy to drink, wheat giving a buttery side of mouth, a bit sparkling, rather dry, coriander, decent hop, 14.06.19, at Lutry, a beer that I was appreciating a long time ago at the aperto.

0.33l bottle. Aroma of wheat, yeast, pine and herbs. Pours cloudy straw color with large soapy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts refreshing citrusy and yeasty, following is grainy and a bit phenolic, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild to average bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. A rather unsuccessful attempt…

Bottle 33 cl. Straw-golden color, hazy, nice white head. Aroma: citrusy, lemon, orange, something fruity like lychee, a little spice, coriander, milky wheat, and a hint of yeast. Taste: citrusy, orange and lemon zest, a touch of tartness and yeast, fruity, spicy, a little herbal and spicy, and a rather soft hop bitterness on the finish for the style, not bad.
